Types of braces
1. Traditional Braces
Traditional braces are metal braces which are the most commonly used braces and any orthodontist can provide this system of braces. The system involves brackets that are glued to each tooth. They are made of the stainless steel brackets and wires. They are least expensive but noticeable of all types.
2. Ceramic Braces
These work in the same way as traditional braces, but the brackets are made from a clear, transparent ceramic material. Also called “clear braces,” these provide a cosmetic alternative to the metal wired braces. They are less noticeable than metal braces but are more expensive than metal braces. They can stain easily if you don’t care for them well.
3. Lingual Braces
They use the same metal brackets and wires used in traditional braces, but the brackets and wires are installed on the inside of your teeth to keep them hidden. They are invisible from inside, but are difficult to clean and maintain.
4.Invisible Braces
Invisible braces cost more than any other type of braces because they are practically invisible. These braces work best for people who don't have significant teeth problems. They're less noticeable than traditional braces and often require less frequent visits to the dentist.
Today’s orthodontics offer many kinds of braces than ever before. So be wise when you choose the right type of braces.
